- This has the provision to accept either style of trim motor from the 1978-1980 time period
- Works with all OMC Stringer Sterndrive Systems 1978-1985 regardless of engine, however this is more focused toward something 1978-1980 because of the intermediate housing anode... also this the water fitting for power steering components.
- I.E. 120hp,140hp,165hp, 170hp 175,190,225,235 & 245 260 305 350 2.5L 3.0L 3.8L V6 4.3L 5.0L 5.7L V8 400 800 etc....
- 1977 & older models used a shaft cover that had only 3 holes rather than the 4 on this one.
- Most of the bearing races are still installed in this and may or may not need to be replaced.
