Item Details

  • MerCruiser 32630A1 > 66546A1 > 88771A1 / 32603 (stamped) Steering Lever Arm for Splined / Splined Shaft (Inline Engines)
    • Should be also the same as 88771A1 / 88771
    • FOR INLINE ENGINES>>> DO NOT BUY FOR V8 engines the hole is too big (1/2") on the business end. (V8 Engines use 54666 > 66545 > 88433 that has the small hole drilled in the end)
  • For Inline engines that have the steering link arm with the cotter pin and the plastic sleeve on the steering link arm.

Part Numbers Included

  • Steering Lever 32603 (Stamped) more or less 66546A1 (Splined / Splined)
    • One thing to take note of is that There were A LOT of these that were stamped 32603 and basically the difference between all of them is the diameter at which the hole in the end was drilled. This would have been found on inline 4cyl & 6cyl models 1970-1982 (early models did not have an enlarged hole)
    • All of the V8 models and early 4cyl & 6cyl models had a much smaller hole for the steering arm.
    •  It's probably in your best interest to just check and see what number you have stamped on your lever & go from there...

Compatibility

  • Basically this would have been found on all alpha one models 1978 - early 1980's before they switched over to the Square / Square levers... It's probably in your best interest to just see what number is physically stamped on your steering shaft and look at the diameter of the hole on the end. (1/2" in this case)
  • This will work for all engine configurations from that time period... Just a short list below...
    • 2.5L 120hp 4cyl
    • 3.0L 140hp 4cyl
    • 3.7L 170hp 470 488 4cyl
    • 4.1L 165hp 250CID (GM Inline 6)
