Found on MerCruiser 228 applications (GM 305 5.0L V8 4BBL) applications 1979-1982 using a flexible rubber "sight tube" going from the bottom of the fuel pump to the carburetor

Visually it looks in good shape, however this may need to be cleaned or re-built. I would just try it first and if it doesn't work, it would be probably wise to rebuild it.

- Throttle Linkage plate type (yours should look the same)
