- Basically you would find this on a boat with an outboard that doesn't have it's own steering tube or not enough room to use a steering bar. I know we have personally dealt with some StarCraft boats that have these.

- When I accidently have put the rubber cap on the threaded end that attaches to a standard steering cable. I will work on updating these photos, but the rubber cap typically goes on the other side so that a steering cable can attach to it normally.
