General Application / Compatibility
- Above all else, it's always a good idea to match the number stamped on your existing pistons!

MerCruiser 1983-1990 3.7L 224CID "470" 2bbl and "488" 4bbl models (165hp / 170hp / 188hp / 190hp etc.) , but technically replaces and of the early ones as well when replaced as a set (1976-1982)
- You SHOULDN'T mix a notched piston in with pistons without the notch
