- Bearings are still installed in this, and are probably fine yet, I would suggest replacing the seals, but this is ultimately up to your discretion.

Would have been found on the smaller OMC Cobra Sterndrive "400" 4cyl lower unit gearcases 1986-1989
- GM 2.5L 120hp 4cyl (1986)
- GM 3.0L 140hp 4cyl (1986-1989)
- Ford 2.3L 4cyl (1987-1989)
Not for 1986-1993 V6/V8 "800 Lower Units or 1990-1993 4cyl lower units as OMC stopped using the smaller "400" style gearcase on Cobra applications in 1990, but this particular item was only used until 1989 on 3.0L applications & 1990 on "400" gearcases on 2.3L as the 3.0L applications in 1990 used the larger "800" style gearcase
